Job Summary
This PhD Researcher role, based at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences, focuses on cutting-edge, interdisciplinary topics at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS), and bioprocess modeling. The core objective is to develop AI and model-supported analytics for fermentation processes, moving beyond traditional offline monitoring methods. Day-to-day tasks include establishing robust cell culture and yeast fermentation processes, implementing associated process analytics (especially IMS), and performing complex data analysis, preparation, and modeling. Candidates must hold an MSc in Biotechnology, Biology, or a related field, possess strong IT affinity, and demonstrate basic programming skills, ideally in Python.
