Job Summary
This role is centered on quality assurance and safety compliance for pressure equipment and piping systems, primarily serving manufacturers in Eastern Austria. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting mandatory acceptance tests, assessing the safe integration of pressure devices into existing industrial plants, and monitoring operational equipment. A key technical aspect involves performing damage analyses, evaluating repair proposals, and crucially, testing and certifying welding personnel and procedures. The ideal candidate must hold a university degree (Technical University or University of Applied Sciences) or equivalent higher technical education (HTL) with substantial relevant experience in metallurgy, materials testing, or mechanical engineering. Expertise in materials science and welding procedures (such as IWE/EWE knowledge) is essential. This full-time, permanent position in Vienna offers the opportunity for independent client management after initial training, working within an accredited environment supported by a team of competent experts.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Technical University or University of Applied Sciences) or Higher Technical Institute (HTL) certification with relevant specialization. Foundational knowledge of welding procedures (IWE, EWE).
Experience
- Professional experience in metallurgy/materials testing or mechanical engineering (preferred)
- Experience as an Auditor (desirable)
