Job Summary

This role is ideal for a chemist with active synthesis experience looking to transition into the world of intellectual property and patent coordination within the security technology sector. The Chemist as Patent Coordinator will be based in the Munich area and will leverage their background in solid-state chemistry synthesis to drive and accelerate patent activities for banknote security solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include chemically embedding intellectual property rights into the patent portfolio, advising the R&D department on patent matters, analyzing new developments for patentability, and monitoring and evaluating third-party patents based on their chemical foundations. The role requires close collaboration with the internal patent department and contributing to the patent and licensing strategy. Key qualifications include a degree in Chemistry, strong analytical skills, and fluency in both German and English, coupled with an aptitude for translating complex technical-legal issues clearly.
