Job Summary
This role is for a High-Frequency Engineer specializing in PET barrier technology at KHS, a leading manufacturer of filling and packaging systems for beverages and liquid foods. The successful candidate will be based in Hamburg and focus on optimizing and developing microwave plasma sources (PICVD) for thin-film processes in packaging technology, particularly for PET. Key responsibilities include simulating plasma models in microwave systems under vacuum conditions, qualifying coating processes, and characterizing microwave systems through process and measurement techniques. The position requires interdisciplinary collaboration with process engineering, mechanical design, and automation teams, offering a dynamic environment to apply expertise in cutting-edge technology and contribute to innovative packaging solutions.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in High-Frequency Engineering or equivalent
Experience
- Professional experience in optimization and new development of microwave plasma sources
- Experience in simulation of plasma models in microwave systems
- Experience in coating process qualification
- Experience in process/measurement characterization of microwave systems
- Experience supporting process commissioning of prototypes/production machines
