Job Summary
This role seeks a dedicated Electrical Engineer to ensure the safe operation and continuous development of the traction power supply within the HEAG mobilo GmbH network. The successful candidate will work closely with the system owner for railway power, focusing on upgrading and renewing electrical infrastructure, and developing and implementing concepts for the digitalization of the power supply. Key responsibilities include performing calculations and verifications according to VDE and VDV standards for submission to technical supervisory authorities. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Energy Technology or Electrical Engineering, possesses several years of project management experience, preferably in energy technology or railway power, and is knowledgeable about electrical engineering standards, particularly those related to DC current, overhead line systems, and EMC/stray current issues. This position offers a permanent, full-time contract in Darmstadt, contributing to sustainable public mobility.
Required Skills
Education
Completed University Degree (Dipl.-Ing. or Master) in Energy Technology or Electrical Engineering
Experience
- Several years of professional experience as a Project Manager
- Experience ideally in the field of energy technology or railway power supply
- Knowledge of essential electrical engineering standards and regulations
- Experience with DC current, overhead line systems, and energy supply

Additional
- Interest in appointment as VEFK (Responsible Electrical Engineer) for the electrical systems within the tram network department
