Job Summary
This role seeks a highly motivated Sales Engineer, ranging from recent graduates to seasoned professionals, to join a specialized chemical company near Altötting, recognized as a 'Hidden Champion' in metallurgy and materials technology. The successful candidate will manage the entire customer lifecycle, from initial contact to the successful implementation of technical solutions. Day-to-day tasks involve comprehensive technical application consulting, active new customer acquisition, and fostering long-term business relationships. You will also hold technical product responsibility for selected offerings, coordinating and executing trials both on-site and in the laboratory. This position requires a background in metallurgy or materials science and strong communication skills, offering a blend of technical expertise and customer focus, with travel across Europe (approx. 20%) and flexible working options, including up to 40% remote work.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Metallurgy, Iron and Steel Technology, Materials Technology, Materials Science, or Process Engineering
Experience
- Professional experience in technical sales (ideal, but not mandatory)
