Job Summary

This role offers a diverse and interesting opportunity within an accredited medical-diagnostic laboratory in Rostock, initially offered as a fixed-term contract covering sick leave. The Medical Laboratory Technologist will be central to microbiological diagnostics, handling a wide range of samples and analyses. Key responsibilities include processing examination materials, identifying pathogens, and determining resistance using specialized techniques such as Vitek, MALDI ToF, Agardiffusion, and MHK. The position also involves conducting parasitological, mycological, and Elisa procedures, as well as automated diagnostic testing, all while adhering strictly to established quality and standard requirements. Candidates must possess a completed professional education as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MTLA/MTA), Biological-Technical Assistant (BTA), or Laboratory Assistant, ideally bringing prior experience in microbiology. Success in this role requires a thorough, process-oriented approach, strong engagement, and a willingness to participate in shift and weekend duties.
