Job Summary
This role is an exciting opportunity for an IT and Media Technology Support Specialist to join a higher education institution focused on training public service professionals. The specialist will be responsible for the comprehensive management, development, and expansion of multimedia systems crucial for digital learning, including audio and video infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks involve general IT support, configuring standard software, deploying new IT hardware, and maintaining IT-supported training systems. A key component of the role is providing technical support for access control systems, IP telephony, and managing events, which includes technical setup and consultation. The ideal candidate possesses a background in IT or electrical engineering, substantial experience with multimedia and AV systems, and strong organizational and teamwork skills, along with fluency in German and a Class B driver's license, ensuring a modern and secure career path within the public sector.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training with a focus on information technology or electrical engineering (e.g., IT Specialist, Electrician, Media and Event Technician, or comparable qualification)
Experience
- Professional experience in setting up and operating audio, video, and multimedia systems (Beamer, digital board systems, audio/conference technology)
- Experience in supporting print and copy technology
- Experience in general IT support, user support, and training
- Professional experience in IT and media technology (desirable)
- Experience in event support (desirable)
- Experience in digital media processing (desirable)
