Job Summary
This role is ideal for a dedicated Technician, including career changers, passionate about building the future of fiber optics. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the installation, setup, and commissioning of fiber optic and VDSL networks, including switches, routers, and WLAN systems. A critical component of the job is performing splicing and measurement work on fiber optic house connections, alongside signal and connection measurements. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting, fault analysis, and documentation within the fiber optic network, ensuring all patch panels, network cabinets, and cabling systems are correctly installed and tested. Key qualifications include a completed education in electrical, information, or telecommunications technology, practical experience in fiber optic splicing (LWL), and proficiency in network technology (LAN, VDSL, Fiber). A Class B driving license and an independent, responsible work ethic are essential for success in this varied and future-proof position.
