Job Summary
This role involves the commissioning and optimization of complex automation systems, focusing heavily on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and system integration within the engineering sector in Ulm. The successful candidate will be responsible for the initialization of application-specific hardware, including the adjustment and parameterization of sensors, actuators, and control loops. Key responsibilities include optimizing the processes of approximately 240 robots concerning quality, availability, and cycle time, which requires modifying application software and post-processing PLC programs. Furthermore, the role involves conducting process checks for system safety, diagnosing and resolving PLC malfunctions, and managing complex automation projects. The position also includes training manufacturing and maintenance teams on PLC systems, requiring a background in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or automation technology, coupled with professional experience in a similar capacity.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in a metalworking, IT, or electrical profession (e.g., as an Electrician with relevant further training) or a completed degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Automation Technology.
