Job Summary
This role involves joining a highly dedicated, translational research group at a leading university hospital, focusing on the human antibody response to infectious agents, particularly Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV). The Biologist will conduct in-depth mechanistic analyses of humoral immune responses, isolate and characterize human monoclonal antibodies targeting viral surface proteins, and engineer viral variants and antibody constructs to investigate immune escape strategies. A key focus is translating fundamental insights into next-generation therapeutic strategies. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in biology, immunology, virology, or a related field, possess strong motivation in molecular mechanisms of virus-host interactions, and demonstrate the ability to plan, perform, and analyze experiments rigorously. The position offers a secure job in a challenging, innovative environment with access to state-of-the-art technologies and interdisciplinary collaborations, aiming for high-impact research with direct translational potential.
