Job Summary
The Senior IT Specialist Data Center will be a key member of the Information Technology team at HGK, a leading logistics holding company within the Stadtwerke Köln Group. This role is crucial for managing and advancing the company's core IT infrastructure, focusing on virtualization, server administration, and storage management. Day-to-day tasks include administering VMware (ESXi and vSphere) and Citrix environments, configuring and optimizing Windows Server systems, and managing Netapp and Pure storage solutions. The specialist will also play a vital role in IT planning and project implementation, particularly concerning platform optimization and new technologies, while providing 3rd-Level support for complex system issues. Required Skills
Education
Completed IT training (e.g., IT Specialist) or comparable qualification. Prince2 and ITIL certifications are desirable.
Experience
- 7-10 years of professional experience in a data center environment
- In-depth knowledge of VMware (ESXi and vSphere) administration
- Experience managing Citrix environments
- Experience with Windows Server management
- Experience with storage systems (Netapp and Pure preferred)

- Driver's license Class B required. Knowledge of Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) is advantageous. Located in Cologne.
