Job Summary
The University Hospital Düsseldorf (UKD) is seeking a dedicated Clinical Systems Interface Administrator to join their dynamic IT team. This permanent, full-time role focuses on the introduction, operation, development, and support of clinical IT systems, with a core emphasis on managing interfaces as the central hub of all systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include integrating new clinical areas, managing user requirements in collaboration with medical staff, leading small to medium-sized interface projects, conducting risk analysis, and coordinating external vendors and manufacturers. To succeed, candidates must possess a background in Medical Informatics or IT, deep knowledge of common interface standards (such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM), strong SQL database skills (Oracle/MS-SQL), and familiarity with server operating systems and hospital workflows. This position offers meaningful work, directly improving patient care within a secure, public service environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed Bachelor's degree in Medical Informatics or comparable field, OR Completed training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or equivalent knowledge.
Experience
- Professional experience in clinical IT systems administration
- Knowledge of hospital workflows
- Experience in leading smaller to medium projects (desirable)
