Job Summary
This role involves planning and operating the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for the City of Stuttgart's IT department. The specialist will be responsible for the independent installation and operation of necessary server instances, including Certificate Authorities (CA), Sub-CAs, CRLs, and Hardware Security Modules (HSM), along with robust backup and recovery processes. Key responsibilities also include developing specifications for PKI, trust management, and strategies for automated certificate creation, ensuring comprehensive certificate administration and documentation. Furthermore, the role requires developing concepts for threat prevention, attack defense, and conducting forensic analysis of PKI-related information security incidents. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or relevant IT training combined with three years of professional experience, and fluent German (C1 level) is mandatory. The position offers a secure, permanent role within the municipal government, focusing on maintaining a high-performing, secure, and future-oriented IT foundation.
