Job Summary

The Leibniz Institute on Aging (FLI) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Waskow Research Group, focusing on the Immunology of Aging. This role involves designing and executing complex experimental studies utilizing both animal models and human cells to investigate hematopoietic stem cell homeostasis and its effect on immune cell function throughout the lifespan. The researcher will be responsible for planning and conducting animal experiments, analyzing large-scale data (including RNA-seq and proteomics), documenting results, and actively participating in scientific discussions within an international, interdisciplinary team. Key qualifications include a PhD or MD in Life Sciences, expertise in flow cytometry/FACS, and FELASA certification. Experience

  • Solid experience with flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS)
  • Experience in planning and conducting animal experiments
  • At least basic experience in bioinformatic analysis (bulk RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, proteomics)
