Job Summary
This is a prestigious Professorship (W2 level) in Electronics for Medical Technology at the Jade University of Applied Sciences in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lectures and practical courses in the denomination area, including Electronic Components, Circuits, and Microcontroller Technology. A core part of the role involves conducting scientific research, acquiring third-party funding, and contributing to the university's strategic goal of becoming an AI university by 2030. Key qualifications include a completed university degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, a relevant PhD, and substantial professional experience (at least five years, with three outside academia). Expertise in biosignal acquisition, microtechnical sensor measurement, and digital evaluation is crucial. The position offers a secure, permanent contract within a research-driven environment and requires the ability to teach courses in English.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Engineering Sciences, preferably Electrical Engineering, or comparable; PhD demonstrating specialized ability for in-depth independent scientific work in the field of the denomination.
Experience
- At least five years of professional practice, with a minimum of three years acquired outside the higher education sector
- Proven pedagogical and didactic aptitude confirmed by practical experience
- Professional experience in Medical Technology, especially biosignal acquisition and microtechnical sensor data recording/digital evaluation
- Experience in the development and application of electronic components for complex medical devices (desirable)
