Job Summary
This role involves working within a global specialty chemicals company, focusing on intellectual property (IP) analysis and strategy, particularly for product areas like polyvinyl acetals and polyolefins in glass applications. The Chemist will conduct comprehensive patent searches and analyses to ensure Freedom-to-Operate, develop and implement new IP monitoring workflows, and utilize modern techniques like text mining for patent publication analysis. Key responsibilities include monitoring competitor activities and technology trends, creating patent landscape analyses to support critical project decisions, and identifying strategic white spots for product development. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemistry, preferably with a focus on Polymer Chemistry, and possesses experience in patent searching and information management, along with strong German and English language skills. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or Diploma in Chemistry with a focus on Polymer Chemistry; PhD is advantageous; Additional qualification as a Patent Researcher or comparable is desirable.
