Job Summary

This role is for an ambitious Electrical Engineer to join the Energy Systems team at MITNETZ STROM, focusing on the national research project OptiQU, which deals with cross-voltage level optimization of voltage and reactive power. The successful candidate will be instrumental in realizing a secure and robust power supply system utilizing 100% renewable energy. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing specific work packages within the OptiQU project, ensuring goal achievement, and testing and validating new concepts for voltage control and system services in the distribution network. The engineer will also organize and supervise field tests, compare central and decentralized control options, and develop communication strategies to promote the adoption of new technologies. This position requires a degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering and prior practical experience in power grid planning or operation, combined with a passion for innovative, strategic, and analytical project work. The role offers flexible working arrangements, including hybrid work from the Kabelsketal location or remotely.

Required Skills

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or Energy Systems, or a similarly related degree
