Job Summary
This role is for an engaged Software Developer specializing in application and system development, with a strong focus on automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for the Central Information and Investigation Service of the Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt). The developer will be responsible for imperative and object-oriented software development, including defining and implementing necessary interfaces, primarily within the context of software automation. Key daily tasks involve analyzing technical and functional processes related to AI and automation, developing concepts and strategies for software automation, and providing consulting and maintenance for innovative hard- and software solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or a related MINT field and significant professional experience in full-stack or backend application/system development, along with practical experience in building and training AI systems.

Education
Completed university degree (Diploma [FH] or Bachelor) in Computer Science or a comparable completed university degree from the MINT sector with an IT focus
Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software-side application or system development (Fullstack or Backend)
- Alternatively, at least 6 years of professional experience in software-side application or system development combined with a completed IT-focused vocational training
- Experience in handling the requirements and specifics of software automation and Artificial Intelligence
- Experience in building and interacting with suitable AI models
