Job Summary

This role is for a hands-on Research Scientist specializing in membrane proteins, biophysics, and automated purification workflows, working at the intersection of biochemistry and high-throughput process development. The core responsibility involves developing, running, and optimizing purification and polishing workflows for challenging membrane proteins (receptors, ion channels, transporters) using both classical chromatography and robot-assisted setups. The scientist will design systematic purification and formulation screens, leverage automation platforms to increase throughput and reproducibility, and perform in-depth biophysical characterization using techniques like SEC, SDS-PAGE, MST, and GCI. Success is measured by the quality, stability, and characterization of the protein samples provided to structural teams (cryo-EM, X-ray).
