Job Summary

This role is situated within the Information Technology department of the German Pension Insurance (DRV), focusing primarily on the administration and support of client/server applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering complex application environments, providing crucial Second Level Support to internal users, and creating comprehensive user documentation. A key function involves managing external service providers by defining, initiating, and monitoring work orders and addressing complaints. Furthermore, the administrator will actively participate in, and potentially lead, IT projects, committees, and working groups related to the DRV's IT landscape. Applicants must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems, database administration (e.g., MS SQL, MySQL), and possess strong analytical skills to derive necessary actions from complex situations. This position requires a high degree of service orientation, team collaboration, and a commitment to continuous process improvement, along with C1 level German proficiency.
