Job Summary
This role is based at the Institute for Pharmacogenetics and Genetic Disposition (IPgD) in Langenhagen, focusing on genetic analyses to optimize drug therapies. The successful candidate, a Biologist specializing in Molecular Biology, will be responsible for managing laboratory operations, including checking sample inputs, validating diagnostic results, and establishing and maintaining new and existing detection systems. Key responsibilities also involve device management, overseeing proficiency tests/laboratory comparisons, and preparing diagnostic report templates. The position requires a degree in Biology or a comparable field with a focus on Molecular Biology, deep knowledge of PCR, Real-Time PCR, and sequencing, and experience with standard bioinformatics and sequence analysis software. This is a full-time, permanent position offering thorough training and integration into a small, specialized team.
