Job Summary
The City of Nuremberg is seeking a Scientific Officer for Environmental Planning to join the Environmental Office. This pivotal role involves leading and executing environmental assessments within urban development planning processes, ensuring compliance with the Building Code (BauGB) and environmental law. Day-to-day tasks include project management for environmental reviews, drafting and scrutinizing environmental reports, and participating in interdisciplinary working groups. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies for environmentally compatible urban development, translating new legal requirements into planning processes, and conducting public relations, including creating informational materials. This position requires a Master's degree in a relevant field and specialized knowledge in urban planning, offering a secure, full-time position within the public service with opportunities for flexible working and professional development.
Required Skills
Education
Master's or Diploma (University) degree in Environmental Planning, Spatial Planning, Landscape Planning, Geography, or a comparable field of study
Experience
- Professional experience in project work
- Specialized knowledge in urban development planning and sustainable urban development, including relevant legal frameworks (BauGB, environmental law)
