Job Summary

This role involves leading and managing the Liquid Chromatography department within an environmental laboratory, focusing on food, agricultural, environmental, and water analytics. The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of a team of 10-12 employees, ensuring smooth daily laboratory operations, including personnel scheduling and technical resource planning (equipment, consumables). A core part of the job is maintaining stringent quality standards compliant with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, which includes managing SOPs, audits, and equipment maintenance. The manager will also drive continuous improvement by developing and validating new analytical methods and optimizing existing analysis and production processes for efficiency and automation. Candidates should possess a degree in Chemistry or equivalent technical training, coupled with deep expertise in instrumental analytics, especially LC-MS, IC, and HPLC, and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
