Job Summary

This role involves developing complex software behavior models for radio communication, including necessary software interfaces (HLA, DIS) for integration into superior simulation environments used by clients and industry partners. The System Engineer will conceptualize a software-based simulator for quasi-real-time network communication, collaborating closely with system engineers and specialists focusing on operational scenarios, AESA antennas, and waveform development. Key responsibilities include optimizing the software simulator to ensure high-quality replication of datalink behavior and supporting clients in applying the behavior model within their comprehensive Avionics System-of-Systems simulation environments. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Communication Engineering, Telecommunications, or Physics, coupled with expertise in network simulation tools (e.g., OMNET++, NS3, MATLAB Wireless Network Simulator) and C/C++ programming. This position requires strong system understanding across all OSI layers, from data applications down to the Physical Layer, Link Budget, and electromagnetic spectrum, serving as a critical interface between clients and the development team.
