Job Summary

This role involves supporting and managing critical information and cybersecurity processes within the Ministry of the Interior for Baden-Württemberg. The officer will be responsible for addressing information and cybersecurity issues, supporting the development and execution of training and awareness measures, and contributing significantly to the establishment and continuous improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS). Key duties include assisting CISOs, leading various working groups, managing project control, and leading technical security projects. The position requires knowledge of BSI standards (or the willingness to acquire them), an understanding of administrative business processes, and experience in IT project management, focusing on maintaining and verifying compliance with BSI IT-Grundschutz and state cybersecurity standards through audits and incident response.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or equivalent degree (Diplom) in Computer Science, Administrative Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field; or eligibility for the higher-level information technology service.

Experience

  • Experience in managing IT projects
  • Professional experience in a comparable public service role is advantageous
  • Experience in applying BSI Standards 200-1 to 200-4 or ISO 2700x (or willingness to acquire)
  • Professional experience in information security management

  • Must be eligible for employment as a civil servant in the higher-level service (up to pay grade A 13) or eligible for employment under the collective agreement for the public service (TV-L) at pay grade 12.
