Job Summary

This is a full-time, permanent professorship focused on teaching and applied research in environmental technology, product-integrated environmental protection, and sustainable product life cycles. The successful candidate will lead courses in areas such as Circular Economy, water, soil, and air protection technologies, and environmentally sound product development (Reuse, Repair, Recycle). Key responsibilities include teaching foundational engineering subjects, conducting courses in both German and English, and participating actively in academic self-governance. The role requires a university degree in engineering or natural sciences, substantial professional experience (at least five years, including three outside academia), and proven pedagogical aptitude, ideally demonstrated through prior teaching experience or didactic training. This position offers the opportunity to drive scientific development through research and international cooperation.

Education

Completed university degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Process Engineering) or Natural Sciences; Pedagogical and didactic suitability proven through teaching experience or didactic training

Experience

  • Comprehensive professional experience (minimum 5 years total)
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience outside the higher education sector
  • Teaching experience at universities or comparable educational institutions (preferred)
  • Experience in the field of Environmental Technology or Integrated Environmental Protection
