Job Summary
This role involves specialized maintenance and repair of railway battery systems, offering a stable, permanent position within the AlphaConsult Group. The Service Technician will be responsible for conducting detailed fault analyses, performing repairs, and replacing defective battery cells on various railway battery technologies (NiCd, lead-acid, lithium-ion). Day-to-day tasks include performing capacity tests, processing customer and manufacturing orders, handling complaints directly in the workshop, and maintaining meticulous technical documentation. The ideal candidate must have a completed technical education (e.g., Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician), fundamental knowledge of battery technologies, and experience in system maintenance and diagnosis. This position requires a high degree of safety awareness, precision, and the willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and at various locations.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Technician, Electromechanic, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Experience in maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of battery systems
- Qualified as an electrician for working under voltage (AuS) is desirable
- Fundamental knowledge of battery technologies (NiCd, lead-acid, lithium-ion) is desirable
