Job Summary
This high-impact Senior Vice President role involves taking overall responsibility for scaling AI capabilities, harmonizing technological enablers, and ensuring the operational implementation of AI governance across RTL Deutschland. The SVP will collaborate closely with the Chief Data & Analytics Officer and executive management to define and evolve the company's AI strategy. Day-to-day, the role requires leading interdisciplinary teams of AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and MLOps experts, building a scalable AI Operating Model, and establishing an 'AI Factory' to systematically transition successful prototypes into market-relevant products for content creation and advertising. The position demands extensive experience leading technological transformations in large, decentralized organizations, deep technical understanding of modern AI systems (ML models, LLMs), and proven C-level leadership and communication skills. Success in this role requires ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards, including the AI Act, while driving technological excellence and strategic impact within Germany's largest entertainment company.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering Sciences, or a comparable field
Experience
- Long-standing experience in leading technological transformations in large, decentralized organizations
- Deep technical understanding of AI systems, including classical ML models, LLMs, and generative applications
- Proven leadership experience in interdisciplinary teams across Engineering, Data, Product, and Business
- Experience with legal, ethical, and governance aspects of AI (e.g., AI Act, data protection, model governance)
