Job Summary

This role is the central hub for laboratory operations within a biotechnology company specializing in protein purification and stabilization for the pharmaceutical industry. The Technical Assistant will ensure the lab runs smoothly by managing organization, infrastructure, and logistics, allowing scientists to focus on experiments. Key daily tasks include organizing the biology lab, managing reagent inventory, preparing and ordering supplies, and handling sample logistics and storage (including temperature-sensitive materials). The position also involves performing routine biochemical tasks such as preparing buffers and standard reagents according to SOPs, conducting standard assays (e.g., SDS-PAGE), and operating chromatography systems (like ÄKTA systems) for routine runs. Candidates should have relevant laboratory training (BTA, MTA, CTA, or equivalent), initial experience in a biological or biochemical lab, and a highly structured, responsible approach to documentation and quality management. Good German language skills are required, with English being beneficial.
