Job Summary

This role seeks an Electrical Engineering Specialist to join the dynamic team establishing Europe's most modern ICE maintenance facility in Cottbus, Germany. The successful candidate will act as a key technical expert, coordinating closely with manufacturing and various internal/external interfaces to ensure operational excellence within the rail vehicle maintenance sector. Day-to-day responsibilities include independently evaluating manufacturing deviations (tolerances, procedures), assessing damage to ICE rolling stock and components, and developing corrective recommendations for repair or replacement. The specialist will also serve as a qualified expert for systems in potentially explosive environments, such as battery facilities, and function as the responsible electrical specialist (VSE). This position requires a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering, coupled with initial professional experience in rail vehicle technology. The role demands a structured, independent, and team-oriented approach, with regular travel to the Cottbus site required due to the project's alliance office location.
