Job Summary

This role involves comprehensive planning, control, and monitoring of the smart meter rollout (modern metering equipment, intelligent metering systems, and conventional technology) across Berlin's electricity grid. The expert will be crucial in modernizing the 36,000 km network and supporting the energy transition. Day-to-day tasks include operational planning of all installation activities, analyzing technical and data-based criteria to select and prioritize metering points for exchange, and developing and optimizing data-driven selection procedures using algorithms and data analysis. A key focus is ensuring high data quality and robust data structures, collaborating closely with IT and business analysts. Candidates should have a degree in Engineering or a related field, strong skills in data analysis, ideally with SQL and BI tools, and a foundational understanding of energy market regulations, ensuring efficient and compliant metering operations for 3.7 million customers.

Required Skills

Education

University or Technical College degree in Engineering, Energy Technology, Industrial Engineering, or comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience with data analysis and optimization procedures
  • Experience with MS Fabric or Databricks (preferred)
  • Experience in project or process management (preferred)
