Job Summary

This role is based in Bonn and involves providing essential decentralized operation and troubleshooting for IT systems across more than 50 locations, acting as the primary on-site service provider for the client, the German Federal Ministry of Defence. The IT Service Technician will be responsible for accepting, analyzing, and resolving incidents and requests related to PC, telephony, LAN, and WAN environments, ensuring compliance with established Service Levels and meticulous documentation within the ticketing system. Key tasks include providing second-level support directly to users, performing installation, commissioning, upgrades, and maintenance of hardware and software, and conducting DGUV V3 inspections. The ideal candidate must have a completed three-year vocational training in IT, ideally three years of relevant professional experience, and fluent German language skills. Mobility and participation in on-call duty and shift-like work models are required to cover operational hours (Mon-Fri, 7 AM - 5 PM).

Experience

  • Ideally 3 years of professional experience in a relevant field of activity
  • Experience in the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) environment is advantageous
  • Professional experience with decentralized IT operations and troubleshooting
