Job Summary
Join the Surveying and Cadastre Office in Düsseldorf as a Geodata Processing Specialist, playing a crucial role in managing and expanding the city's Geodata Infrastructure (GDI). Day-to-day responsibilities include acting as the primary contact for the widely-used, browser-based "Düsseldorf Maps" application, advising various specialized departments on data publication, and ensuring smooth data flow. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining PostGIS databases, expanding the Geodata-Warehouse, and using tools like FME to create automated data update processes. Furthermore, you will conduct complex GIS analyses, visualize results using cartographic methods, and support the Geodata Hotline. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Geoinformatics or Geodesy and is proficient in relevant DV procedures like QGIS, Geoserver, and PostGIS, offering an opportunity to shape innovative digital tools for the state capital and contribute to public administration.
