Job Summary
This role is perfect for a proactive Junior IT Support Specialist to join a Service Desk team, focusing on providing first-line technical assistance. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing incoming support requests via ticket systems and email, prioritizing and documenting issues, performing initial troubleshooting, and escalating complex problems to higher-level support. The specialist will also maintain asset data and contribute to the knowledge base, while actively participating in IT projects. The ideal candidate will have a foundational IT education, practical experience with Windows operating systems and MS Office products, and a basic understanding of networking and ITIL processes. Completed IT training, e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration, IT Systems Administrator, IT Systems Electronics Technician, or IT career changer
Experience
- Initial practical experience with Windows 7 and 10 operating systems
- Initial practical experience with common MS Office products / Microsoft Office 365
- Confident use of a professional trouble ticket system (desirable)
