Job Summary

This role involves serving as the primary expert for IT Accessibility, focusing on ensuring internal security and compliance within the North Rhine-Westphalia Police Service Agency (LZPD NRW) in Duisburg. The expert will be responsible for standardizing accessible hardware and software workstations, managing the accessibility of information and communication technology (ICT), and coordinating and conducting accessibility tests. Key responsibilities include product management for assistive technologies throughout their lifecycle—from conception and introduction to operation and decommissioning. The ideal candidate must possess a relevant university degree or equivalent professional qualifications in IT or a related field, coupled with strong analytical, organizational, and process management skills. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, General Administration, Social Management, Social Sciences, or a comparable field; OR Completed vocational training and advanced training in Administrative Course II (Administrative Specialist) in General Administration or IT; OR Completed vocational training in (Business) Informatics, Information Technology, Communication Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT accessibility (desirable)
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience (if qualifying via vocational training in IT/Economics/Communication Technology)
  • Experience with IT-specific accessibility regulations (WCAG 2.1, BITV 2.0) (desirable)
  • Experience with the organizational structure of the NRW Police or a state superior authority (desirable)
