Job Summary
The Global Template Owner for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is responsible for defining the scope and functionality of MES for global manufacturing processes. Day-to-day activities involve managing the JIRA boards to track international requirements, leading a team of internal and external experts and architects to prioritize new demands, and coordinating with the global development team to align solutions with business needs. A core focus is maintaining the 'Fit-to-Standard' approach, ensuring seamless compatibility with other global templates like S4E, and providing clear guidelines for any necessary adaptations. This role requires strong process competence, analytical thinking, and leadership skills to manage global, distributed teams, resolve conflicts, and drive decision-making across various international production sites.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in engineering, business administration, or a comparable field, or equivalent acquired knowledge
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in discrete manufacturing with a focus on requirements definition
- Leadership experience and successful management of international and globally distributed teams
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel to international production sites
