Job Summary

This role involves supporting cutting-edge agricultural research at the unique Erosion and Runoff Laboratory (EARL) in Ruhstorf a. d. Rott, focusing on sustainable farming systems and environmental emissions. The Technical Officer will be responsible for the planning, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical, measurement, and experimental equipment on the site. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring and troubleshooting technical systems, participating in data collection via drone flights and specialized measurement techniques, and acting as the primary technical contact for research groups and service providers. The ideal candidate holds a technical qualification in fields like electrical installation or mechatronics, possesses experience with specialized outdoor electronics and IoT-related sensor technology, and has basic software programming skills.
