Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity to join projects with the renowned customer Airbus Defence and Space as a C++ Software Engineer. The core responsibilities involve significant refactoring and modernization of a large existing codebase, strictly adhering to coding guidelines and static code analysis standards. The engineer will be crucial in developing and standardizing the Qt-based tool environment, implementing new features, and optimizing code maintainability. A key part of the job includes writing and maintaining comprehensive Unit Tests to secure refactored components and verify existing functionality. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, demonstrable expertise in large-scale code refactoring and software design, and advanced knowledge of modern C++ (C++11 – C++17). Fluency in both German and English is mandatory for this position.
