Job Summary

This IT Engineer role involves the project-specific adaptation and automated installation of a Linux platform (based on Ubuntu) for COMINT solutions on both physical and virtualized servers. Key responsibilities include implementing, extending, and maintaining scripts for IT hardware administration and configuration, conceptualizing system monitoring, and conducting extensive testing to ensure product reliability. The successful candidate will require a technical degree or equivalent background in IT, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications, coupled with professional experience in technical system development or maintenance. Essential technical skills include deep knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu, virtualization (Proxmox/VMware), containerization, network architectures, and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python). The position requires strong problem-solving skills, willingness to travel internationally (up to 30% combined), and secure communication in both German (B2+) and English.
