Job Summary

This role as a Research Data Manager in Rostock involves supporting scientists through comprehensive library and information services. Key responsibilities include managing the literature supply—handling user administration, interlibrary loans, and conducting literature research support—as well as overseeing the entire media stock lifecycle, from acquisition and cataloging (using standards like RDA and systems like K10plus/PICA/WinIBW) to indexing and license administration. A major focus is on Open Access management, including policy development, contract support, and advising researchers on publications and funding applications. You will also be responsible for planning and delivering training sessions and maintaining the Publications module of the internal Research Information System (FIS). The ideal candidate holds a degree in Library or Information Management or possesses extensive relevant professional experience, combined with strong expertise in library offerings and Open Access topics.
