Job Summary

This role involves providing essential 1st and 2nd level IT support, both remotely and on-site, within one of Europe's most modern clinical IT environments at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). The specialist will actively contribute to the expansion and development of the hospital's IT infrastructure by handling day-to-day tasks such as managing and documenting disturbances, coordinating complex issue resolution with downstream service units, and advising users on hardware and software issues. Key responsibilities also include planning and executing IT rollouts and relocations, managing external service providers, performing installations and maintenance, and maintaining system and knowledge databases. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant IT qualification, strong knowledge of client systems, Windows OS, Office applications, and WLAN/LAN, coupled with excellent customer orientation and cooperation skills, making this a stable and meaningful career opportunity in healthcare IT.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, IT System Electronics Technician, IT Management Assistant, or other completed vocational training in the IT field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in 1st and 2nd level IT support

  • Experience in coordinating external service providers (where applicable)
  • Experience in handling and documenting IT disturbances
