Job Summary

This role is for a proactive DevOps Engineer within the IT Technical Steering unit, supporting RWE Power AG's operational business processes across mining, power plant, and refining operations. You will serve as a technical thought leader, bridging application development/support and central IT infrastructure services. Daily responsibilities include supporting application operations on MS Azure and Oracle Cloud infrastructure, focusing on provisioning, sizing, optimization, and cost management. A critical component of the role involves implementing robust security concepts for cloud infrastructure, databases, and middleware, including certificate management, SIEM, and vulnerability management. The position requires analyzing capacity needs, optimizing existing cloud applications, and coordinating service delivery with internal and external cloud providers. Candidates must possess a degree in IT, several years of relevant professional experience, and excellent knowledge of Oracle products and scripting languages.
