Job Summary

This critical role involves leading a research and development laboratory within the Silicones division, requiring both disciplinary and technical leadership of the laboratory staff. The manager will be responsible for independently structuring and executing complex R&D tasks and projects, focusing on developing new product and process ideas. A core part of the job is ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards (IMS), securing Intellectual Property through patent drafting, and evaluating business potential in cooperative ventures. The ideal candidate possesses a PhD in Chemistry, bringing deep expertise in organic and polymer chemistry, along with knowledge of emulsions and dispersion properties. Success in this position demands strong leadership, excellent communication, negotiation skills, and fluent proficiency in both German and English to manage interfaces, initiate collaborations, and engage in public relations and technical publications. This is a permanent position within an international chemical leader.
