Job Summary

This role requires a dedicated Wiring Harness Design Engineer to manage the development of complex vehicle electrical systems directly at the vehicle manufacturer. You will serve as the primary liaison, bridging communication between the customer and internal development teams, ensuring technical requirements are met, and coordinating solutions for installation space challenges. Daily tasks involve reviewing change requests concerning functionality, cost, and weight, conducting independent CAD tasks related to wiring harness components (such as brackets and ducts), and actively participating in risk analyses (DFMEA). A critical component of the role is troubleshooting technical issues during vehicle testing and supporting international production sites, particularly during new project ramp-ups. Candidates must possess at least five years of professional experience in E/E systems, ideally within the VW Group environment, and demonstrate proficiency with specialized development tools like Catia and Capital LD. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory for effective coordination and documentation.
