Job Summary

This full-time Accountant role in Schweinfurt, Germany, offers an opportunity to manage comprehensive financial operations within a medium-sized financial services company. The core responsibilities include the meticulous review, coding, and posting of all ongoing business transactions, ensuring proper documentation and filing. A key aspect of the role is independent tax reporting, specifically preparing VAT pre-registrations (Umsatzsteuervoranmeldungen) and handling various reports to the Central Tax Office, including capital gains tax declarations and Summary Reports (ZM). Furthermore, the Accountant will manage cash operations, process travel expense reports, perform detailed account reconciliations (e.g., commission and clearing accounts), and actively assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, including forming provisions. The ideal candidate holds commercial vocational training with an accounting focus and ideally brings experience in general or accounts payable financial accounting.
