Job Summary

The Europa-Universität Viadrina is seeking an Information Security Officer to manage and enhance the university's information security posture. This critical role involves actively participating in the 'Information Security in the Network' project with Brandenburg universities, and being responsible for the entire lifecycle of the Information Security Management System (ISMS). Day-to-day tasks include designing, implementing, and monitoring security policies, conducting risk analyses and security assessments of the IT infrastructure, and coordinating security audits and certifications. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, possesses professional experience in IT security, and has deep knowledge of relevant standards like ISO/IEC 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz. Strong analytical skills, self-reliance, and excellent communication abilities are essential for advising university leadership and collaborating closely with the Data Protection Officer and IT department.
