Job Summary

Join Intel Labs as a Research Scientist focusing on multimodal sensing and algorithms. In this role, you will be an individual contributor, designing, developing, and implementing scientific research projects to advance Intel's growth in wireless and multimodal sensing. You'll develop systems, technologies, and algorithms for multimodal sensing using wireless communications (e.g., Wi-Fi, radar) and vision, demonstrating new applications like activity and gesture recognition. This involves creating concepts and proofs-of-concept for technologies typically 2+ years from product roadmap integration. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or computer science field, coupled with experience in multimodal fusion, sensing systems, machine learning, and deep learning. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to breakthrough technologies and shape the future of computing.

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Experience

  • Professional experience developing multimodal fusion and sensing systems utilizing modalities such as vision, wireless, language, audio, inertial sensors
  • Professional experience developing systems for sensing and context awareness, machine learning, deep learning, transfer learning
  • Professional experience with Python and AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow
  • Professional experience with proper handling of research data including documentation, software code, and software tools
  • Experience writing research publications in top-tier venues
