Job Summary

The City of Husum is seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist to permanently fill a crucial role within the Information Technology department. This position focuses on developing and updating comprehensive IT security concepts, guidelines, and a formal IT security strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and assessing potential security vulnerabilities, implementing robust IT security solutions, and administering security tools. A key component of the role is ensuring strict compliance with legal frameworks, including the German IT Security Law and the NIS-2 Directive, and planning and executing regular IT audits. The ideal candidate possesses a scientific university degree in Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field, coupled with a deep technological understanding of attack vectors and familiarity with BSI Standards. This role requires an analytical, cooperative, and goal-oriented approach to managing complex security challenges, offering a stable public service career with flexible working hours.
