Job Summary

Join the City of Essen's Department of Roads and Traffic as a Road Planning Specialist, where you will independently develop road plans for small to medium-sized new constructions and renovations, including design and georeferenced calculations. You'll also play a crucial role in planning accessible bus stops to enhance public transport accessibility. This position involves supporting engineers on larger projects, creating detailed drawings and documentation, preparing reports, and conducting on-site inspections and traffic counts. The ideal candidate will have a background as a state-certified civil engineering technician, possess knowledge of road, construction, and planning law, and be proficient in German. Experience with Vestra and AutoCAD, or a willingness to quickly learn, is essential, along with a strong sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills.
